Eton Mess

I made a Key Lime Pie to take to a party the other day – that will have to wait for the next time I make it as I don’t have a good photo, mainly due to forgetting to save any limes to decorate it with – and ended up with six egg whites. What better excuse to make Eton Mess, especially on a lovely summer’s afternoon. I always follow Delia’s recipe for meringue as it really is as foolproof as she claims. Some of the berries were handpicked from my parents’ garden, which makes it even better.

And I served it on my latest acquisitions – really pretty plates from a charity shop.
